At Haymarket Children’s Academy, we’re more than an early childhood center—we’re a family dedicated to helping children learn, grow, and thrive. As a family-owned and operated school, we understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment where every child feels valued, and every family feels at home.
Founded by Gail and Earl Johnson in 1989, the center originally operated as Rainbow Station, a nationally recognized early childhood education franchise with locations in Haymarket and across the country. We became franchise owners in 2012, and in 2018, we established Haymarket Children’s Academy, built on a shared passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing exceptional care and meaningful learning experiences. We believe the early years lay the foundation for a lifetime of success, and we are honored to play an important role in every child’s growth and development.
Today, our family—including our sons and daughter-in-law—remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the academy. Every decision we make is guided by what is in the best interest of the children and reflects our core values of trust, kindness, excellence, integrity, and respect.
We are also grateful for our exceptional leadership team and dedicated teachers, who partner with families to create a caring community where children feel loved, encouraged to explore, and empowered to grow with confidence. Together, we combine the warmth and personal attention of a family-owned business with a high-quality educational program designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
When you choose HCA, you’re not just enrolling your child in a program—you become part of our family. We look forward to partnering with you as we nurture, educate, and inspire the next generation.
Thank you for trusting us with your child’s early education!
